Did you know, Mathison House has an elevator?

It appeared one day... An elevator where the stairs once were.
The stairs are still there, of course. But now they're further out of the way, and here, where the door to them once was, is an elevator.
It's certainly convenient, though a bit creepy to stand in, and many are grateful for it.
But no one seems to remember the construction. It just wasn't there one day, and now it is.
Which does seem to be par for the course with Mathison House.

It goes to every floor, but for some reason apartment forty one has it's own button.
Wonder who's in there? That they're so special, they get their own button?
